Terms · With margin notes
Nothing is bought on this site: a price here is an estimate until we confirm it.
The terms for using lekvaro.com and for sending us an inquiry. Definitions, dates and cross-references sit in the margin beside the paragraph they belong to.
1. When these terms apply
These terms take effect on October 7, 2026, and were last updated on that date. They cover every visit to lekvaro.com and every inquiry sent through it, by form, chat, email or phone.
2. Who you are dealing with
These terms are between you and Lekvaro, a small preserves kitchen trading at lekvaro.com from 68 Oak Lane, Office 12, Austin, Texas 86853, United States. Three of us run it. When these terms say "we", that is who they mean.
3. What the site does, and what it does not
The site shows our catalogue: plum and apricot lekvar, jams, fruit butters and quince paste, with ingredients, sizes and indicative prices. It carries a price estimator, an inquiry form and a support chat.
It does not sell. There is no cart, no checkout and no account. We do not ship across state lines, and the site does not offer to. Recipes and baking advice on the site are what works in our kitchen, not instructions guaranteed to work in yours.
4. How an inquiry becomes an order
Nothing is sold or paid for on this site. Every price shown, and every band from the estimator, is an estimate and not a binding quote. Sending an inquiry commits you to nothing and commits us to nothing.
Here is the sequence. You send an inquiry. We reply by phone or email with what is in the pantry, the jar count, a confirmed price in USD and a handover time. An order exists only when you accept that confirmed offer. Payment is arranged directly with us at or before handover, never through the site.
5. How prices are worked out
Prices are in US dollars, per unit. The base is a "from" figure per 8 oz jar, from $10 for cider apple butter to $14 for quince paste. Larger sizes scale from it: 16 oz, 2 lb tub, 5 lb pail. Larger quantities bring a break of 8%, 14% or 20% at 6, 24 and 72 units. A reduced-sugar 1:6 batch adds $1 per 8 oz equivalent, because it cooks longer.
Pickup costs nothing. Austin local delivery is a flat $8 per order, shown separately. What moves a confirmed price away from the estimate: fruit cost in a bad year, a size or count change you ask for, and seasonal products such as Hill Country peach, which exists only June to August. Sales tax, where it applies, is stated in the confirmed offer.
6. What you may not do here
Do not send inquiries in someone else's name or with their contact details. Do not flood the form or chat with automated messages, probe the site for weaknesses, or try to reach parts of the server not linked from a public page. Do not scrape the photographs or copy the product text for your own shop listing. Do not use the chat to send abuse to the person answering it.
7. Who owns the words and pictures
The text, photographs, the Lekvaro name, the logo and the stamp mark belong to Lekvaro. You may link to any page and quote a line with credit. You may not reuse the photographs, the logo or whole product descriptions without asking us first in writing.
8. What we do not promise about the site
The site is provided as it is. We keep it accurate, but a product can sell out between your visit and our reply, and a photograph shows a batch, not the exact jar you will get. Fruit varies; color and set vary a little with it. We do not warrant that the site is free of errors or always online.
Allergen and ingredient lines on product pages are correct for our recipes. Ten different fruits go through the same pans and the same bench. If an allergy matters, ask before you order and we answer for that batch.
9. Limit of liability
As far as Texas law allows, our liability for anything arising from an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as a bakery's lost sales on a given day. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not let us limit, including for death or injury caused by our negligence.
10. When we can refuse access
We can block an address from the form or chat, decline an inquiry, or stop answering, if section 6 is broken or an inquiry is plainly not genuine. We can also decline any order we cannot fill properly, and we tell you why when we do. You can stop using the site whenever you like.
11. Law and disputes
These terms run under the law of Texas, United States. A dispute is heard in the courts of Austin, Texas. Before that, call or write. Most problems with a jar get settled on the phone.
12. Changes to these terms
When these terms change, we publish the new text here and change the effective date at the top and in section 1. A confirmed order stays under the terms that applied on the day we confirmed it.
